Dr. Reena Jogi is a native Texan who was born, raised, and educated in Houston, Texas. She attended Rice University for her undergraduate education where she received a Bachelor of Arts in economics. She went on to complete her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine, where she graduated with honors and received many academic distinctions, including election into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha society.
Following graduation from medical school, she stayed at Baylor to complete a three-year residency in internal medicine. She was asked to serve an additional year as the chief medical resident, an honor she declined to pursue her true love: dermatology. Following a year of travel abroad and part-time emergency work, she returned to Baylor College of Medicine to complete her dermatology training.
Dr. Jogi has received extensive training in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She has comprehensive training in the use of lasers, neuromodulators, dermal fillers, and platelet rich plasma treatments for hair loss. She is also well-versed in allergic diseases of the skin and patch testing for skin allergies.
“As a board certified Dermatologist, it was important to me to learn PRP for hair loss from another Board Certified Dermatologist who could share practical tips and tricks about both how to perform the procedure and also how to integrate PRP successfully into my practice. Reena Jogi MD did an oustanding job of detailing the procedure and gave many useful take home pearls that have allowed my practice to develop a successful and expanding PRP program. She presented helpful data on how to combine other hair loss treatments with the new PRP procedure. The information presented was concise and detailed, and the handouts were excellent and easy to understand and use. Dr. Jogi answered many questions from the audience and encouraged interactive discussion, further enhancing the overall experience.”
“Having hands on experience with PRP was particularly helpful, and a great opportunity for the mentors like Dr. Jogi to relay technique pearls that I continue to use. I have had consistently positive results so far with the PRP cases I have done, and I feel like learning this the right way is a big part of how I was able to institute our program so quickly and effectively. It is important to note that Dr. Jogi has made herself available to answer questions I have had since the training. Many thanks to Dr. Jogi for sharing her experience in a way that translated to a successful PRP program at my own practice!
