Dr. Bartels is a board certified Ob/Gyn, founder of the Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Institute of Scottsdale, co-founder of Scottsdale Center for Women’s Health, and founder of Vitality Hormones for Men. He completed his residency training at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan where he was Chief Resident and recipient of several awards in recognition of his minimally invasive laparoscopic surgical skills. By 2005 he recognized the need in Arizona for an expert in the increasingly popular field of Cosmetic Gynecology and Vaginal Rejuvenation. He completed additional training and certification, becoming the first in Scottsdale, AZ to provide these services. Since then, he has been an early adopter of the various non-surgical vaginal and bladder rejuvenation devices and has become the leading expert in Arizona for both surgical and non-surgical cosmetic gynecologic services.

With a special interest in hormone replacement therapy, intimate wellness, aesthetic injectables and lasers, Alex brings more than a decade of healthcare experience to VitalityMDs. After earning an Associates of Applied Science in Nursing from Scottsdale Community College, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Arizona State University. Alex then earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.She has extensive experience in hormone replacement therapy and medical aesthetic practice settings and continues to teach students about Botox, Dermal Fillers, Biostimulatory Fillers, Sclerotherapy and PDO threads. Alex is a passionate proponent of women’s healthcare and works to stay abreast of the latest advancements in HRT, gynecology and aesthetic services.Outside of work, Alex enjoys traveling, barre class, and spending time with her Labrador Retrievers.
